An event for educational staff, kitchen staff, parents and anyone else who is interested
Abdominal pain is one of the most common complaints in childhood and is fortunately usually temporary and harmless. There are many possible causes, ranging from infections and food intolerances to functional complaints.
At the children's specialist day, the focus will be on functional abdominal complaints that occur time and again and where carbohydrate intolerance is suspected. Participants will be given a brief overview of the basic functions of the gut and will be introduced to the procedure and importance of careful diagnostics. They will also learn which foods contain carbohydrates that can trigger stomach problems and what role a balanced diet plays in everyday (daycare) life. Afterwards, there will be enough time for questions.
