Lenka Mat?jáková received her first violin lessons at the age of five at the Primary Music School in Prague with Eva Bublová. She made her debut with orchestra at the age of seven. She continued her education at the Prague Conservatory in the class of Pavel Kudelásek. From 2007-2008 she studied at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Prof. Jela Spitková, and from 2008-2012 with Univ. Prof. Jan Pospíchal. She continued her education in Dresden and studied in the master's program at the Carl-Maria von Weber University of Music with KV Prof. Jörg Faßmann. From 2014 to 2015 she was in the class of Prof. Wolfgang Hentrich and successfully completed her master's studies. Lenka Matejakova won the International Violin Competition in Nová Paka in the Czech Republic. In 2010 she received the 2nd prize at the Stephanie -Hohl Competition in Vienna and in 2013 ECO- prize from BASF Schwarzheide (Dresden). Matejakova is a scholarship holder of the Brücke/Most Foundation and the DAAD. She participated in various master classes. As a soloist, she performed with prominent Czech orchestras and in Germany with the Medicanti Orchestra Dresden and the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of Prof. Ekkehard Klemm, she performed Britten's Violin Concerto as part of the University Symphony Concerts at the Semper Opera House in Dresden. Successful recitals took her to Paris, Madrid, Zagreb, Lisbon, Vienna and other cities in Europe. From 2012-2013 Mat?jáková was a member of the Giuseppe Sinopoli Academy of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden. In 2016 she has a temporary contract in the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra as Deputy 1st Concertmaster. At the same time, she founded the "Ensemble International" with her long-time chamber music partners.

Jörg Faßmann, born in Dessau in 1966, received his first violin lessons at the age of five. At the age of nine he made his debut as a soloist with orchestra. He completed his violin studies from 1983 to 1989 at the Leipzig Academy of Music in the master classes of Gustav Schmahl and Klaus Hertel and in Dresden with Reinhard Ulbricht. He also distinguished himself as a prize winner of international violin competitions.
Since 1987 Jörg Faßmann has been a member of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, where he became deputy 1st concertmaster in 1989. In addition to his orchestral activities, he has been a member of the Dresdner StreichTrio since 1995, with whom he has performed extensively in concerts in Europe and overseas, as well as on numerous CD productions.
He has also worked for many years with the pianist Gunther Anger, performing at numerous chamber music festivals and regularly at the Semperoper Dresden. He has been a guest soloist with various German orchestras and has performed with them in Italy and Asia, among other places.
In addition, Jörg Faßmann has been active at the Dresden University of Music since 1991. In 2009 he also took over a masterclass at the Conservartorio Real Superior in Granada. In the same year he was invited to give concerts and workshops at the University of Wisconsin.
