The first trade fair for design, crafts and art in the north-east. Presented by the Landesverband Angewandte Kunst MV
As a fresh and unique platform for contemporary applied arts in MV, fangfrisch presents a lively selection of outstanding works by professional artists from all parts of Germany. Our aim is to present special artistic achievements in the field of applied arts from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and beyond at this fair. We want to raise awareness of current trends and tendencies and draw attention to new, trend-setting and timeless working techniques. We also honor outstanding artistic works in the form of strictly defined and juried art prizes.
In the heart of the Hanseatic City of Wismar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this new fair invites you to discover. This is precisely where we want to establish another important beacon for the visibility of works in the applied arts. Fangfrisch, the new showcase for applied arts here in the north, brings Mecklenburg-Vorpommern into the focus of public perception as a state of art and culture by confidently joining the exhibitions established throughout Germany in this format. It sees itself as a mediator between artists and those interested in art. With it, we offer professional craftspeople, designers and artists working in the field of applied arts a worthy setting in which to present their work to an open-minded audience.
The new trade fair is the result of an initiative by the Landesverband Angewandte Kunst MV e.V. and is organized by its members on a voluntary basis. An external jury of experts selected 55 artists to take part. Their works can be found in museums, at important exhibitions and trade fairs all over the world. The Landesverband Angewandte Kunst MV e.V. itself is represented with its own stand and presents works by the new members 2024.
The highlight of the fair is the opening event, at which a total of three art prizes will be awarded.
