"Sunrise", a masterpiece of German Expressionism, tells the simple story of a husband who cheats on his wife with a treacherous city girl. The film shifts from a fairy-tale depiction of country life to a dynamic portrait of the bustling, modern American city. The film will be shown on 35mm film reel, the Berlin composer and silent film pianist Stephan Graf von Bothmer will accompany the screening on the cathedral organ.
