When Clara Haberkamp found out about the newly opened venue on the Mebak premises last year, she immediately wanted to arrive herself with her gleaming grand piano. But it was worth waiting a year, because now we can experience two outstanding musicians at the same time: Clara Haberkamp (piano) and Lisa Wulff (bass) have enormous musical maturity and stage experience. They impress with innovative sounds, subtle grooves and strong melodies. Their different characters and styles combine to create a richly varied sound that is characterized by the musicians' own compositions and lyrics. The unconventional use of Clara Haberkamp and Lisa Wulff's voices creates a multi-layered sound aesthetic. Already established as bandleaders with their respective projects, they now play as equal partners in a collective. They have already wowed audiences at the ECHO 2017 television broadcast, the Bonn Jazz Festival, Jazz Baltica and NDR's Rolf Liebermann Studio with their versatile sound and varied instrumentation.
Their current program is entitled "Candour", which means openness or sincerity and refers to their honest music-making in the moment of the event, which knows no excuses or hiding places.
