Music by Clara Schumann, Amy Beach, Luise Adolpha le Bea, Lili Boulanger and others Martina Trumpp (violin), Bohumír Stehlík (piano)
Violinist Martina Trumpp and Czech pianist Bohumír Stehlík present works by female composers under the title "Blazing Romanticism - Ladies Composer", as well as music by Ludwig van Beethoven and César Franck.
Long lost or disregarded, more and more compositions by women have been rediscovered and performed in recent years, above all the works of Clara Schumann. The skills of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's sister Fanny Hensel or Amy Beach, Luise Adolpha le Bea and Lili Boulanger were in no way inferior to those of their well-known male contemporaries of the Romantic period, and so their music is now rapidly conquering the world's stages again.
The two performers, winners of renowned competitions, have already been successful as a duo for ten years: Martina Trumpp, internationally active as a soloist, chamber musician and guest professor, has performed in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and in Harpa in Reykjavik (Iceland) in the last two years. Bohumír Stehlík, professor in Brno, Czech Republic, has recently toured Sweden and Germany and often records for Czech radio.
