"Being with horses..." is not a method, but allows you to refine or reflect on your own perception and thus opens up a completely different perspective on the behavior and communication of humans and horses.

Can friendship be achieved with a training program? Doesn't devotion arise from mutual trust in the moment? Can friendship be "trained", love measured in lessons? Don't you first have to become credible yourself, be trustworthy in the best sense of the word? Shouldn't we rather learn the language of the horse so that we understand what it wants to tell us, what it likes, what it fears, where it demands a limit or more freedom? Would we ask a friend to do something for us every day that he doesn't like, that is boring or even humiliating? And if we did, wouldn't this friend withdraw from us at some point and "turn away" from us internally and externally? Friendship is based on understanding and trust, is mutual and can also withstand a discussion if you disagree.

Horses and humans are highly social creatures and can communicate with each other and form a relationship that can become a true friendship based on mutual respect and appreciation.
We primarily teach perception as the basis for fine, reciprocal communication with the horse. We teach to look at what a horse is telling us and how. We teach them to understand their facial expressions, their gaze, their behavior and their body language signals. We teach what we as humans communicate to the horse with our body expression, body position and our actions, often unnoticed and without meaning to. Gradually, we can recognize what it is feeling, perceive its nature and character and what it needs to trust us, enabling us to respond to the signals it sends us in its own way.

By adopting its way of communicating, we can respond to it and it can understand us in the same way. We do not degrade the horse to a mere recipient of commands, but strive to become a credible and respected social partner. The horse either imitates us if it finds us interesting or important, but it can also reflect our behavior through its reactions. Little by little, we will realize what it is telling us and where we ourselves stand. It's not just about functioning and learning lessons, but also or especially about our own development. The horse inevitably brings us to our point: ambition, wanting to be good, possessiveness, fear, arrogance, perfectionism and striving for power or control. Gradually, by letting go of expectations, we come into the here and now and one or the other can experience a level with and through the horse that can already be called spiritual, namely "being".
