Collages of translucent paper and pencil drawings. Heads look at us, figures approach us, spaces open up. Images of people and perspectives
Layer by layer I glue torn scraps of paper over each other or peel off sections again. There is no preliminary drawing.
I don't know the faces of the guests who come to me in the collages beforehand.
With the first pieces of paper a movement arises on the dark. With it I enter into conversation, would like to let a counterpart become recognizable. Later it is important not to fix the form that has become, not to end the process of approach.
The tearing and putting together makes it possible for me, what one can know after the 20th century of the injuries and disregard of the "human being" on the one hand and its possibilities on the other hand, to let arise in a pictorial representation forebodingly - to try this.
The drawings show situations, deal with perhaps everyday things, offer recognizability, demand respect for what is easily or quickly overlooked.
I am not concerned with "photorealism", but with an invitation to enter.
