"GUNDERMANN", directed by Andreas Dresen, became an arthouse hit and was decorated with 6 LOLAs, the German Film Award. A film that was universally acclaimed by the media, deeply touching, with a soundtrack that gets under your skin. Alexander Scheer was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize and the LOLA as the leading actor. A busy singer and musician himself, he received the German Record Critics' Award for his interpretation of the songs in the feature film and, incidentally, climbed to a place in the top 20 of the German album charts. Scheer, who already fascinated audiences as Keith Richards in the feature film "Das wilde Leben" and thrilled audiences as David Bowie at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, immerses himself deeply in the cosmos and the songs of Gerhard Gundermann. He explores them, unfolds an almost magical intensity "with everything he has" and gives it back in concentrated form. A band was formed especially for the film premiere, not realizing that it would develop into a band project that is now a concert highlight and festival event with a rapidly growing audience throughout Germany. In the meantime, the first live album "Immer wieder Nie Genug" ("Never Enough Again") has been released, which testifies to the fact that they never stand still, but develop enough material to expand their repertoire in a delightful way.
