The Wieck information center is located in the midst of thatched fishing cottages and rustic fish restaurants. In addition to information about the fishing village and the sailing area Greifswalder Bodden, countless maritime souvenirs await visitors.
From Greifswald's museum harbor, a beautiful towpath leads over 5 km along the Ryck River to the tranquil fishing village of Wieck. Already at the entrance to the village, the wooden bascule bridge built in 1887 impresses, which is still opened by hand several times a day for shipping traffic. After crossing the bridge (for car traffic the bridge is only passable with a special permit) you can explore the listed fishing village.
On the first floor of the Pension SCHIPP IN, not far from the harbor office, there is the Wieck Information. Here you can get information about the fishing village Wieck and the town's own sail training ship Greif as well as books, postcards, souvenirs and much more.
