Exhibitions and Galleries, Museums

The museum of local history documents the history of Graal-Müritz "From fishing village to seaside resort". It also houses the gallery of the painter Joachim Weyrich.

On March 1, 1994, the Heimatstube (local history museum) was created from a former warm bath, which gives an overview of the history of Graal-Müritz, from its beginnings to the recent past (a time span of 700 years) with typical exhibits, pictures and panels. Today, the Graal-Müritz Museum of Local History is a central place for collecting, preserving and researching the cultural heritage of the Baltic health spa. The exhibition was built up with the help of donations, loans and donations.

Thanks to the work of the Local History Society, the exhibition is constantly gaining in attractiveness. This was recognized by the fact that since July 6, 2004, the institution can officially call itself "Heimatmuseum Graal-Müritz". Attached to the museum is a small gallery of the local painter Joachim Weyrich.

Admission to the museum is free.
