Ateliers and Workshops

Since 2020, the artist Werner Kothe has been showing his glass art objects in the open space - in the middle of the village, opposite the castle - the exhibition is open all year round.

Werner Kothe produces art objects in his "Atelier im Schmiedegarten" using the fusing technique. He teaches interested visitors about this special glass-making technique in courses. He shows the results in his open-air exhibition in the forge garden in Rattey. For courses and guided tours of the exhibitions, you can contact the artist via his website

Kotelow hunting lodge

The manor has belonged to the v. Oertzen family since 1672. The single-story baroque house, built in 1773, ends with a mansard roof. The courtyard entrance is gabled over a beautiful oak entrance door with a frontispiece. On the garden side there is a 3-axis central risalit with a terrace in front. Old wooden floorboards are preserved in the interiors. The house was extensively and authentically renovated and is now open to guests as a hunting lodge.
