Plau chicken ladder Until it was blown up in 1945, the bridge over the lock was a so-called swing bridge. When the bridge was rebuilt, it was constructed as a high bridge with ledges nailed on instead of steps. The vernacular made it "Häuhnerledder" (chicken ladder).
