From Bansin train station you can reach many interesting places on the Island of Usedom.
The railroad connection is provided by the Usedomer Bäderbahn (UBB). From May to October, the Usedom Express runs regularly between Berlin and Usedom, which also stops at the station of the seaside resort Bansin.

Fort Gerhard is one of the most significant monuments in Świnoujście. It was built in the middle of the 19th century to protect the entrance to the port. It was designed by Gerhard Cornelius, after whose name the building is named to this day.
