Guarded beaches, barrier-free

Fine sandy beach can be found here, the beach access is directly at the pier with Kurhaus (seat of tourist info) and Kurhaus restaurant. At the end of the pier is the diving gondola. Only a few meters from the beach in the direction of the town begins the beach promenade with shopping mile.

Beach access 12 is located directly at the pier. At the main lifeguard tower at the pier, a wheelchair suitable for water and beach use is available for people with disabilities from 10 am to 5 pm during the high season. It can be borrowed free of charge and moved by friends or relatives. The rescue paramedics of the German Red Cross are also happy to help and provide cooling and healthy refreshment in the sea for people who cannot make it into the water on their own.
The accessible beach access is partly concreted, in the lower section covered with mats. It reaches directly to the sea.
Public toilets are located on the sea bridge forecourt, as well as a beach supply with snack.

Distance to the nearest parking lot: approx. 800 m
Distance to the nearest WC (coin operated) for people with disabilities: approx. 50 m

The beach crossing no. 13 is also handicapped accessible. Both accesses have beach mats until just before the water's edge.

Prerow, Seamen's Church

The Prerow church, built from 1726 - 1728 in the so-called Swedish period under pastor Martin Henrici, is a brick hall church with a wooden steeple from 1727. It served as a landmark for seafaring, as the Prerow stream was open to the sea side, allowing access to the harbor and the Bodden waters.
