Flat banks that offer a view of wide fields and meadows or are surrounded by reeds alternate with wooded, steep banks. In addition, heavenly silence. No engine noise. Only the soft rustle of leaves, buzzing dragonflies and croaking frogs.

The first stage of the tour leads from the traditional spa town of Feldberger Seenlandschaft via Haussee with its romantic Liebesinsel to Breiter Luzin. At 58.5 meters, this crystal-clear pearl is the second deepest lake in the country and home to the Great River Mussel, which has become rare in Germany. After a short detour via the small Lütter Lake, the tour continues onto the Schmaler Luzin. This glacial gully lake, which connects the Breiter Luzin with the Carwitzer See, is more like a river with its width of 80 to 300 meters and its 7 kilometers in length. Ancient deciduous forest is reflected in the shimmering turquoise water, in which it is wonderful to swim. From time to time, the dense beech trees allow a glimpse of the old wingless windmill of Carwitz, the former home of the poet Hans Fallada.

The transfer station at the Bäk stream is a good opportunity for a shore leave. From the Hauptmannsberg there is a fantastic view of the surrounding area and of Lake Carwitz. This lake presents itself with crystal clear water, small islands and wonderful bathing bays. The tour ends at the campsite Am Carwitzer See. If you want, you can still take a short tour across the lake.

On its extension, the Zansen, the tour continues via Wootzensee to Fürstenhagen.

Water profile

The tour is also suitable for inexperienced canoeists and families. Quiet lakes, as no motorboats are allowed except for a few exceptions. One transfer point at the Bäk stream. For Lake Carwitz, paddling near the shore is recommended from wind force 3.
