Bike journey

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is the destination of many cycling tours. Or even the beginning. Whether towards Berlin, Hamburg or Copenhagen – nine eventful Radfernwege  lead through Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's natural landscapes and beyond. On well-signposted routes, each long-distance cycle route delights with its very own charm.

The route takes you past shimmering lakes and rushing rivers, over green hills and through dense beech forests. Well-known sights such as the Schwerin Castle and popular excursion destinations such as the Ozeaneum invite you to go on a discovery tour beyond the cycle path on the individual stages. The stages can be planned individually according to your own needs. If you feel like it, you can combine two or more cycle routes – in many places, long-distance and Radrundwege , making it possible to change direction at any time. Always with you: swimwear, because the nearest bathing water is always just a few meters away from the cycle path - no matter which route you choose.

The network of long-distance cycle routes is well signposted, making it easy to plan a cycle tour even without local knowledge. Many cycle tour operators also offer individual cycle tours with luggage transport and guided cycle tours on selected sections of the route.
