Whether traditional Czech and Bohemian brass music, concertante brass music and Mecklenburg folklore, well-known marches, musical and film melodies, modern potpourris.....- the repertoire of the orchestra is versatile and varied.

The Northwest Mecklenburg Wind Orchestra has been under the proven direction of Hartwig Kessler for over 30 years. This ensemble includes about 25 children, young people and adults aged 10 - 74 years, who enjoy playing music together and represent the district of Northwest Mecklenburg at various events.

Annual concert tours have already taken the musicians to many countries, e.g. China, Japan, Italy, Greece, Poland, England, France, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Croatia and the USA. In lasting memory are the international festivals in Latvia, Belarus and Holland, but also the appearances in the ZDF television garden or in the NDR (radio and television).

The brass band represented the district during the Expo in Hannover, at the Green Week in Berlin and at the MeLa in Mühlengeez, among others.
