On the third weekend in August, the Vikings return to the island city.
4th Viking Festival at Malchow Monastery
On the third weekend in August, the Vikings will once again make their way to the island town of Malchow: they will dominate the Damenplatz, a meadow on the Malchow Monastery, with their camp comprising around 50 tents and numerous stands.
At this year's Viking festival, visitors can once again immerse themselves in the life of a Norseman with his customs and crafts.
Over two days, there will be battle demonstrations and weapon explanations, handmade medieval music, rare crafts such as blacksmithing, horn carving, instrument making, textile crafts and much more. In Wicki-Land, children can experience archery, puppet theater, leather grandpa, hands-on juggling, giant soap bubbles, handicrafts and face painting.
Food and drink is also provided with mead and Striezel, hearty liquid food in the tavern and rustic food from the barbecue.
Admission:
Admission is free for children under the height of a sword (approx. 1.20 m), €5.00 up to 17 years, €7.00 for adults, €5.00 with Malchow Card.
Viking camp & Wickie-Land are open both days!
