The book is about the expulsion of Jewish bathers from the Baltic Sea in the last century.

The exhibition of the same name in the Stadt- und Bädermuseum ends on this day at 2 pm with a finissage.

Afterwards, Ms. von Soden will present her book in the Ehm Welk House. Using a wealth of historical sources, diary entries and travel reports, Kristine von Soden paints a multifaceted picture of the period up to 1937, when almost all places and beaches on the Baltic coast were forbidden to Jewish bathers. Even before the Nazi regime, "anti-Semitism at the seaside" developed into everyday anti-Semitism. Numerous documents, including those relating to Warnemünde and Kühlungsborn, reflect life in the local region at the time.

The literary association invites you to this special event at the end of the BOOK DAYS.
