The European Hanseatic Ensemble (conductor: Prof. Manfred Cordes) performs works from the Renaissance period
To mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in Magdeburg, the European Hanseatic Ensemble under the direction of Prof. Manfred Cordes will perform compositions by Martin Luther and his contemporaries. Young singers and musicians with historical Renaissance instruments bring the splendor of the 16th century to life.
The magnificent council and parish church of St. Nikolai in Stralsund is the ideal venue for this music due to its rich Gothic to modern furnishings and its wonderful acoustics.
