Music film, talk and concert with Johanna Seim

The music documentary From soil to soul (original title: Til Stede) lets the audience experience what it feels like to be a musician in a creative process. How a place, a garden, shared meals, people and instruments intertwine in this process. Musicians Marianna and Johanna take a playful approach to centuries-old Hardanger fiddle traditions from Telemark in Norway and shed a new light on this music. Together with the gardener Ana, they reflect in "From soil to soul" on what it is like to be human today: the need for contact with nature, the urge to create and express oneself, and the desire for community and liveliness.

On this musical film evening at St. Spiritus, we will watch Til Stede / From soil to soul together, listen to Johanna play and ask her about the secrets of the Hardanger fiddle.
