A lecture with nature guide René Geyer.
Due to the location of the Island of Rügen in the southern Baltic Sea region, it is an important bird resting area. Every year in spring and late summer numerous species of water birds migrate to the coasts of the Island of Rügen and rest there.
Among the resting communities can also be observed rare bird species that once also bred on Rügen. In addition to the migrants, there are also plenty of songbirds and birds of prey on Rügen, which are conspicuous by their special way of life and beauty and are native here.
These include the strictly protected white-tailed eagle and the red kite. In addition, the smallest songbird in Europe, the loudest and second smallest songbird and some others will inspire you at this lecture.
