In a lively and vivid way, Stephan describes his view of the most famous pieces for his instrument: the 6 Suites by JS Bach. Although this music is 300 years old, it tells of basic principles of life that are always relevant and help us to understand or reflect on our lives. Again and again Stephan plays individual passages to take the listener on a journey from closeness to nature to self-awareness, from proud growth to transcendence, from death to eternal rejoicing.
There will be a lot of music in this event, but it is not an ordinary concert but a lively lecture - which will probably make you curious to listen to Bach's cello suites.
