Naturally Romantic

Following in the footsteps of Casper David Friedrich, we want to immerse ourselves in the themes of spring, childhood and longing and understand them artistically through the lens of the camera.

Romanticism can be discovered everywhere in Greifswald, and Caspar David Friedrich's roots are closely linked to the city. We go to a central place of his work: the Eldena monastery ruins. The workshop is inspired by Caspar David Friedrich's way of working and transfers it to photography. Motifs are captured through the lens of the disposable camera, which are influenced by active and passive staging. Together we will explore the themes of childhood and longing in an artistic and photographic way. Disposable cameras are provided free of charge and developed by us. Free of charge, on a donation basis On 04.05.2024, from 12:00 to 16:30 For registration (until 26.04.24) and questions: Spannungsfeldcdf2024@gmail.com The workshop will be led by Pauline Kail, art student at the University of Greifswald.
