Filigree stone sculpture, natural wood design and colorful painting on a special spot.
The young stone sculptor has been working since 2011 in her own workshop on an open plot of land with a wide view over the terminal moraine landscape of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Inspired by nature and inner processes, she lets the forms flow gently into her stones.
Born in Münsterland, Susanne Schunicht prefers to work with sandstone, but materials such as limestone, marble and granite are also used in her works. In recent years, she discovered especially the variety of fieldstones and Baltic pebbles from the coastal region for themselves. Their natural beauty highlights the artist in the simple and elegant design of lanterns, soap dishes, fish and small individual hand flatterers. From free abstract design of subtle themes or stylized figurative works to usable one-of-a-kind pieces, you will find a wide range of delicate, subtle and touching art in her work.
During this weekend the stone sculptor will give you an insight into her versatile way of working with natural stone in a determined but also careful and respectful manner. Those who wish can also try their hand at a Baumberg lime sandstone with hammer, knob and chisel and get a little seminar feeling.
A piece of homemade cake and some music tastefully round off your stay on this dreamlike spot of earth. The extensive farm garden with its old trees invites you to linger here.
