The next cinema screening in the Bürgerbahnhof hall will take place on Thursday, 20.06.2024 at 19:00. Admission starts at 18:30, the entrance fee is €5.00. The movie "Ein ganzes Leben" by Hans Steinbichler will be shown.
Eight decades in the life of Andreas Egger offer not only a personal career full of ups and downs, but also a reflection of German history in the 19th and 20th centuries. As an orphan, the young Andreas (Ivan Gustafik) comes into the care of the large farmer Kranzstocker (Andreas Lust), a brash farmer who brutally reprimands every misstep. During this time, the young Egger is only protected by Ahnl (Marianne Sägebrecht). The reprimands even go so far that the Kranzstocker breaks young Egger's thigh bone.
When Egger (Stefan Gorski) finally grows up to be a man, he is still only treated as a laborer. He may limp, but he can always lend a hand. He even dares to dream. With the love of his life, Marie (Julia Franz Richter), he wants to build a life for himself - in a hut on the mountainside. Andreas Egger works on helping to build the region's first electric cable car, until another stroke of fate tears the ground from under his feet. When the Second World War broke out, he was conscripted as a soldier and literally forgotten in the Caucasus. After a long time in Soviet captivity, he returns to the valley in the Alps many years later as an old man (August Zirner). Modernity has long since returned there and Andreas tries to remember how an entire life has changed him and the valley.
