Haldi - Singer/Songwriter Pop | Greip - A Capella
The young Estonian musician, songwriter and producer Haldi released her debut album Raba (Moor) - in collaboration with Vaiko Eplik and Jakob Juhkam - when she was just 16 years old. The title track was also performed at the 20th Minu arm (My Love) dance festival in 2019. In summer 2021, Haldi released her second album Taevalaed (Sky Tent) with the debut single Suudlus (Kiss), which brought her together with the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, the Portuguese singer-songwriter Salvador Sobral - one of the best jazz singers in Europe. The two performed together last year at the Alexela Concert Hall in Tallinn and sang the song in both Portuguese and Estonian.
The melody was written by Salvador's sister Luisa Sobral, and the Estonian lyrics were written by Haldi herself. Haldi is also known for her exciting solo performances throughout Estonia and has been a radio presenter for the Fantaasia series on Klassikaraadio. A compilation album Marynile / For Maryn, dedicated to Marju Marynel Kuut, was released in February 2023. The project was directed by Haldi.
At Nordischer Klang, Haldi plays with her ensemble: Mattias Tirmaste, bass; Oliver Kaljula, keyboard and Siim Sõmer, flute

Greip means grapefruit in Estonian, and the a cappella group of the same name, one of the most outstanding in the choral country of Estonia, sounds just as fresh and lively. It was founded in 2006 at the grammar school in the harbor town of Pärnu, which is known for its lively bathing and spa activities.
The ensemble performs exclusively with its own voices and sings original compositions, folk adaptations and covers of well-known songs in various musical styles. They also perform quiet ballads, swing and jazz, pop and rock songs as well as their own pieces.
