Sky, light and clouds

The Greifswald chamber choir Tonlust is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In the anniversary concert, pictures by Caspar David Friedrich are combined with choral works whose sounds sometimes seem like a mirror to the Greifswald painter's paintings. The music describes the longing for unspoiled nature, but also the freedom in the vastness of the sky, the magic of clouds, light and the sea in songs by Orlando di Lasso, Heinrich Schütz, Fanny Hensel, Peter Tchaikovsky, Edward Elgar and Eric Whitacre, among others.
