To mark the 60th anniversary of the death of the Wismar painter Sella Hasse, the SCHABBELL is presenting around 50 works from her estate.
The biographical exhibition focuses on the theme of movement. It can be found in many aspects of Hasse's work, for example in the dynamic depiction of working people. Movement can also be seen in Sella Hasse's life. She was extremely mobile and worked in Hamburg, Wismar, Paris, Charleroi, Vienna and Berlin. Another factor is materiality, which is expressed in particular through creative material mixes.
