With 44 breeding pairs, the Island of Rügen is one of the largest breeding areas for white-tailed eagles in Germany. On my tour, you can observe the majestic birds in their natural habitat and, if you're lucky, photograph them. Be enchanted by the breathtaking scenery.
Seeing the white-tailed eagle with a wingspan of up to 2.6 m circling above us like a board amazes many people. It is not unusual for two or more sea eagles to circle in the air at the same time and watch our every move as we behave in their territory. It is interesting to see how the white-tailed eagle flushes out countless ducks and geese.
Depending on the time of year, we can also observe other animals.
Regular guests are: Osprey, roe deer, wild boar, great white egret, red-backed shrike, crane, fox, lapwing, various duck species, marsh harrier, red kite, common tern, chiffchaff, whitethroat and many other species.
Important: This sea eagle tour is not a photo tour. Of course, photographers can take part in this tour because there is always something interesting in front of our noses, but it is 99.9% impossible to get a portrait photo of the white-tailed eagle on this tour.
