On the second weekend in May, the beach season kicks off on the Mecklenburg Baltic Coast with a big sandcastle competition. On Saturday, May 11, buckets and shovels will be made available on twelve beaches in the region and people can once again dig and muddle to their heart's content. The most beautiful sand sculptures will be chosen.
