Caspar David Friedrich and Friedrich August von Klinkowström
The current altar in St. Marien Greifswald is the result of a long history in which Caspar David Friedrich was also involved. In the end, it was the copy of Correggio's "Holy Night", made by Friedrich August von Klinkowström, around which Gottlieb Giese designed the entire chancel. On Klinkowström's birthday, we invite you to join us: Dr. Michael Lissok traces the history of the altar's creation. Members of the Förderverein Schloss- und Gutshofanlage Ludwigsburg e. V. will then let Klinkowström have his say. Cantor Silvia Treuer will accompany everything with her playing on the Mehmel organ.
