On December 8, 2024, the renowned pianist Vladimir Stoupel invites you to an extraordinary piano recital in the atrium of Ludwigslust Town Hall. In the unique atmosphere of the historic hall, Stoupel will perform works by Schumann, Brahms, Schubert, Chopin and Dukas, taking the audience on a journey through the masterpieces of the Romantic period and the early 20th century.
The evening begins with Robert Schumann's short "Arabeske", which sounds like a love letter to his future wife Clara and is one of the master's fundamental works. This is followed by Johannes Brahms' powerful and profound Piano Sonata No. 3 in F minor, which unites the composer's versatility and virtuosity in a gripping sound.
In the second part of the evening, Stoupel will devote himself to Franz Schubert's lyrical and poetic "Impromptus", followed by Frédéric Chopin's melancholy Polonaise, which will enchant the audience with its delicate melodies and deep emotions. The crowning finale will be Paul Dukas' "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", a virtuoso piano work that captivates with its dramatic and narrative power.
