"Delicate and powerful" Edward Grieg (1843 - 1907): Selection from the 'Lyric Pieces' Johannes Brahms (1833 - 1897): Sonata in F minor
Edvard Grieg's Lyric Pieces, which he published in 10 volumes as his personal manifesto with increasing opus numbers, accompanied him throughout his career as a composer.
In the words of pianist Andrei Gawrilow, they are "a very special kind of diary that Grieg kept throughout his life, or a confession, because they reflect the most intimate moments of the composer's life".
