The Rügen pianist and conductor Alex Bergstedt invites you on a musical journey through the centuries. Works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and others will be played on the grand piano of the large St. Michael's Church in Sagard, including the successful film score Star Wars.
The piano has been around for three centuries now, and these three centuries are reflected in fascinating compositions for piano. Many famous pieces such as "Für Elise" were composed for piano, and there is hardly a piece of music for which there is not also a piano version. Entire operas, some of which last several hours, have been transcribed for piano in thick books, as have symphonies, film music, rock songs and contemporary pop music.
