On the trail of Caspar David Friedrich
Many of Caspar David Friedrich's paintings depict natural motifs and at the same time express (e.g. religious) ideas. In this way, Friedrich's work reveals the intertwining of nature and culture. This entanglement will be made tangible on a philosophical hike, during which a literary scholar and a forester will explain what they see at selected vantage points. The hikes are organized by employees of the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Greifswald in cooperation with the Greifswald Adult Education Centre.
