Mönchstraße in front of St. Catherine's Monastery - from construction site access road to pedestrian zone Curious corals, nimble fish and street furniture make their appearance in front of the MEERESMUSEUM on September 6 and 7
For several years now, the German Oceanographic Museum has been involved in various projects for the research, resettlement and breeding of tropical corals. For the MEERESMUSEUM site, it is breeding magnificent coral species at great expense, which can be discovered in the new aquarium tour in the fall. The fascinating diversity of tropical fish species can then also be experienced again. Five macro-photographs on the brick wall in Mönchstraße give a first foretaste and whet the appetite for the SEA.
Temporary street furniture in the immediate vicinity of the pictures invites visitors to linger. And if you want to take a breather before or after visiting the new exhibitions at the MEERESMUSEUM, this is also the place to be. The Mönchstraße between Böttcherstraße and the construction site at the Stralsund Museum will be revitalized by the interaction of several Stralsund players and will convey the idea of a future as a pedestrian zone.
The open-air photo exhibition and the street furniture in front of the MEERESMUSEUM will be open all day on September 6 and 7, 2024.
