What do the Austrian cabaret artist and the German singer have in common apart from the fact that they lived at almost the same time and spent long periods in the USA? Despite many differences - Hildegard Knef only left Germany in 1948, while Georg Kreisler fled the Nazis with his parents as early as 1938 - they both have a similarly melancholy and defiant, yet humorous view of life, love and other trivialities.
And so, on June 8, singer Barbara Bräutigam and pianist Kerstin Simon will present selected songs by Hildegard Knef and Georg Kreisler for the Stralsund audience in the Kulturkirche St. Jakobi.
The concert starts at 7.30 pm.
Tickets costing 15 euros (concessions 12 euros) are available in advance, online on Reservix and at the box office.
