The Kavaliershaus Schloss Blücher is part of the manor house ensemble on Lake Fincken and was built in 1748. Since 2010, the Kavaliershaus has been run as a hotel with the "Klassenzimmer" restaurant and "Blüchers Scheune" in the former castle park by the Nalbach family of architects.
The extensive grounds invite you to take a walk between the natural and architectural monuments of the village and experience the history of this cultural landscape. The path leads through the former castle park to the chapel by the lake and back along the listed walls of the village street to the rare round barn.
On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the painter Caspar David Friedrich, the Kavaliershaus will open some of the suites dedicated to this special Mecklenburg-Vorpommern artist for the Midsummer Remise on Sunday. Pomeranian dishes and a special cultural program will be served in "Blüchers Scheune".
Program on Saturday:
- from 1 p.m.: "Sous Vide, coal and fire" in front of the "classroom": vegetables / ribs / pulled pork / burgers / drinks / homemade cakes
- From 3.30 pm in "Blüchers Scheune" film by Peter Schamoni about Caspar-David-Friedrich (1986)
- From 6 pm: Midsummer menu from the restaurant "Klassenzimmer" (with prior reservation)
Sunday:
- 1 - 3 p.m. Guided tours of the house
-1 p.m.: Pomeranian dishes in the restaurant "Klassenzimmer" and cake buffet in and around "Blüchers Scheune" in the park of the Kavaliershaus
