A stately welcome to summer: The Night of the Nordic Manor Houses - The Pomeranian Houses open their doors on Sunday
Schlemmin Castle is a neo-Gothic-style manor house with many castle elements. It includes a moat on the village side with a bridge, battlements and tower. The three-/four-storey building houses around 30 rooms and 4 halls. The 20-hectare landscaped park was laid out as a baroque park in the 18th century. The spacious park is home to a variety of dendrologically interesting trees and shrubs. The castle has been recently renovated and houses a hotel with a restaurant and is a branch of the registry office. Weddings and free weddings, celebrations and conferences as well as cultural events take place here. The Engelssaal for celebrations, the Blauer Salon restaurant and the café are decorated with elaborate stucco. The rustic cellar restaurant has been extensively renovated and the old brick walls have been brought back to life. The terrace is open in good weather. The kitchen garden and park are currently being restored piece by piece after a long period of neglect.
