Natural history hike in the Greifswald countryside -walk through the Ryck meadows (approx. 1.5 hours).

In a series of nature tours in the Greifswald countryside, residents and visitors to the city are invited to learn about the history and use of the landscape, flora and fauna. The focus is on the meadows - a multifaceted habitat that is illuminated from different perspectives in a playful reference to C. D. Friedrich's painting "Meadows near Greifswald". Nature, Friedrich's most important source of inspiration, plays the main role here. Tour: Ryckwiesen Meeting point: STRAZEfoyer (Stralsunder Str. 10) Duration: approx. 1.5 hours Guide: Christina Lechtape, employee for peatland climate protection at the Michael Succow Foundation Admission: free, a donation is requested. Registration: not required Sturdy shoes are essential, identification books are welcome. The event is taking place as part of the anniversary celebrations "250 Years of Caspar David Friedrich - From Greifswald to the World" with financial support from the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
