The ruins of Eldena Abbey are one of Caspar David Friedrich's most important motifs. The historical site remains fascinating to this day - Martin Kohlstedt is also inspired by the walls of the monastery ruins and Friedrich's works: The Weimar-based artist combines classical and modern music in his music by experimenting on the piano and with electronic sounds. His unmistakable compositions are created live in interaction with the location and the audience. With Caspar David Friedrich through the year 2024 - we'll be there!
