Even after many years of marriage, more and more couples are separating. Those involved, who are usually already older, often ask themselves whether it makes sense to file for divorce after the separation or - also for cost reasons - to do without. Regardless of age or the length of the marriage, there are considerable legal differences between separating and divorcing. For example, if no divorce petition is filed after the separation, there will be no division of assets or pensions.
On Thursday, June 20, 6 p.m., an experienced family law specialist will give an online lecture on the most important legal implications, risks and benefits of separation compared to divorce, particularly with regard to maintenance claims, equalization of gains and pensions and inheritance law. The expert also presents legal contract options for separation. He will also provide practical tips, legal advice and answer questions.
