Three artists from the fields of photography, graphics - painting - sculpture and jewelry design create a unique game for all senses in the light-flooded ambience of the village church Groß Grenz. In front of an unusual backdrop, we invite you to stroll, linger, marvel and participate.
Diversity and reduction, pristine, wild and magical. The artists Julia Janning (photography) and Rosita Mewis (graphics, painting and sculpture), who live near and in Schwaan, approach the nature of the country through multifaceted techniques, forms and colors.
Material, color and experiment in dialogue with unedited photography interpret mood, moment and possibilities. The village church of Groß Grenz gives light and space to look at the mysterious and the delicate detail hidden.
Rosita Mewis migrated from performing to visual arts. "I find it exciting to try new ways of expression, am curious about different techniques and enjoy working with materials with my own hands."
Julia Janning pursues nature photography as an art form. Discovering creation from an unusual perspective makes the viewer marvel and pause. "They are pictures full of lightness - as unprocessed as the motifs remained untouched."
Katharina Fiebenitz's jewelry design is about creative deceleration. "Because creativity frees the mind from thinking for a change and is always a diversified time-out from everyday life."
As a special highlight, the sponsoring association invites to a concert in the village church on Saturday, at 5 pm. Details on artists and program will be announced - admission 12 €.
All visitors are cordially invited to linger for a moment over coffee and cake in the idyllic church garden.
