Wit and reality - top cabaret with Meigl Hoffmann from the Leipziger Pfeffermühle
He was recently awarded the Berlin cabaret prize "Eddy" for his fearless life's work. Meigl Hoffmann has stood for critical thinking and good entertainment for three decades now. Proof of this is his cabaret evening "Geölter Witz - am Rahmen der Mona Lisa", acclaimed by audiences and the press. In it, Hoffmann plays the museum caretaker, Manfred Subbotnik, the supervisor with the top view, a Saxon on a first-name basis with the Mona Lisa, art and the problems of the times. How can we preserve the past when the present is dissolving before our eyes? Is a self-adhesive climate activist already grounds for imprisonment? Is the government still behind us or should it already be in front of us?
