Laying of stumbling blocks

On September 5, 2024, the city administration and the Initiative for the Remembrance of Jewish Life in Stralsund will lay Stumbling Stones for Jewish fellow citizens who were deprived of their rights, degraded and murdered during the Nazi regime. Stumbling stones will be laid for Josef Panski - Wasserstraße 80, John Horneburg - Semlower Straße 1, the Gerson brothers - Mönchstraße 31 and Simon Hirsch.
The event will take place under the patronage of the anti-Semitism commissioner of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Mr. Nikolaus Voss, and with the participation of pupils from the Hansa-Gymnasium and the Stralsund Music School.
