Lassan anniversary run

The third smallest town in M-V has a huge reason to celebrate. Lassan - the small town on the western bank of the Peene River - is three quarters of a millennium old.

Once a Slavic fishing settlement with a castle, it quickly gained importance due to its favorable location on the water and was first mentioned in a document in 1136. In 1274, it was granted town charter by the Pomeranian Duke Barnim I. Lassan was under Swedish administration for almost 200 years before the town was awarded to Prussia in 1815.

We can celebrate the 750th birthday with you in our very special way, we run & walk through Lassan and through a beautiful part of the Lassaner Winkel.

The host and meeting point of our February movement festival on 25.02.2024 - 14:30 is the St. Johannis Church, which is located on the Jacobsweg via Baltica directly in the city center.

From there, we will set off together on the 8 km running route (with scent and touch garden) and the 4.5 km walking route.

For children, walkers and beginners, there is a 1 km route this time, which leads from St. Johannis Church to the harbor and back again. Anyone who enjoys exercise and is in a good mood can take part.

Voluntary entry fees are welcome ��and 100% of them will go to the Förderverein Kinder- und Jugendhospiz Leuchtturm e.V. Greifswald.
