Country cinema in September in the Wulfshäger museum barn

Ten singing men from the fishing village of Port Isaac in Cornwall are visited by music producer Danny and his ten pals from London, who wants to sign them to a record deal. It turns out that this is just a joke on the part of his boss, but over time the usually cynical Danny really believes that he could produce a hit with the band. But first Danny and his pals attract attention in the village, especially in a negative way. The friends are spending a stag weekend in the country and behave accordingly. By the time the visitors from the big city have to be fished out of the water while stand-up paddling, they are the talk of the town. The boys will see their rescuers around fisherman Jim again sooner than they realize, because alongside their work they perform shanties as "Fisherman's
Friends" shanties for the best. Danny spontaneously moves into Jim's daughter Alwyn's bed and breakfast so that he can better court the favor of the fishermen. As Danny becomes more and more a part of the fishing community and its members, he eventually asks himself what success really means.
