"Ladebow and Friedrich - the other view"

This year, the city of Greifswald is celebrating the 250th birthday of its great son Caspar David Friedrich. To mark the occasion, the association "Unser Ladebow e.V." is inviting people to take part in a painting, drawing and photography competition. Friedrich painted our town from various perspectives, but it is not known that Friedrich painted the town from the east, i.e. from the "Ladebow perspective". Hence our appeal: Paint and photograph the old town as you see it from the viewpoint on Ladebower Chaussee. All techniques are possible. Anyone who wants to can take part. A jury, under the guidance of the Greifswald painter Bernd Anders, will evaluate the works. They will decide on prizes and awards within the competition, as well as the type of presentation. All submitted works will be awarded a certificate, and the three works of art rated best by the jury will be honored on 01.06.2024 at the district festival "Ladebow celebrates".
